Baseball Recap: Ingraham Has No Trouble Against Bishop Blanchet

Ingraham made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bishop Blanchet, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bears on Friday. Considering the Rams have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Takeshi Malady tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Landon Miller was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Hayes, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Ingraham and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Bishop Blanchet, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ingraham will take on rival West Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 1.9, West Seattle 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet is set to face off against their familiar foe Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
