The West Clermont Wolves won the last time they faced the Ursuline Academy Lions, and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went West Clermont's way against the Lions as the Wolves made off with a 41-21 victory. Given West Clermont's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Lions are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Clermont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Collins, who scored seven points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Meagyn Riffle, who scored nine points along with three steals.
West Clermont has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Ursuline Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Clermont will challenge the Middies at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ursuline Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Fenwick is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home.
