Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Anchorage walked away with it. They strolled past the Dimond Lynx with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 19-0. Winning may never get old, but the Wolverines sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
South Anchorage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brianna Bailey out in front who rushed for 97 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Addysen Gasser, who picked up 35 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South Anchorage's defense and their four sacks. Lindsay Dahlstrom was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three herself.
South Anchorage's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Dimond, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.
As of now, neither South Anchorage nor the Lynx have any future games scheduled.
