After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Welsh, South Beauregard was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They breezed past the Port Barre Red Devils to the tune of  48-14. The Knights not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 4, 2024 (when they won  49-15).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Beauregard to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jacob Marcantel, who rushed for 111 yards and one  TD. Marcantel's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 111  rushing yards.  Walker Langton was another key passer, throwing for 223 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Mason Richards, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
South Beauregard's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Port Barre, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Beauregard will welcome Kinder  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. As for Port Barre, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avoyelles  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. This will  be the Red Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
