Softball Recap: Chester Has No Trouble Against Dupo

Chester was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dupo on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Tigers 12-6. Considering the Yellowjackets have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elaina Lutman was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Camryn Wolff also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Chester's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Dupo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Chester didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Red Bud on the 10th. Dupo has also already played their next match (against Marissa/Coulterville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
