Bucktail was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to first in All-American. Earlier in the week, the Bucks defeated Columbia Montour Vo-Tech 20-8.
Pius X's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Savelli threw for 124 and one touchdown and Dashon Russell had 77 yards receiving. On the ground TJ Belle chipped in 14 yards. Eric "E-Bo" Marbury helped Pius X's passing attack out by catching four balls for 46 yards.
Pius X's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Royals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Savelli has thrown for 482 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Marbury has 17 catches for 204 yards. Belle leads the league in rushing with 89 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Bucktail takes on second place Pius X. Bucktail beat the Rams last week, while the Royals lost to Marian Catholic.
