On Friday, Owensville was out to avenge their 34-38 loss to Potosi from the last time they squared off against one another, but the team left empty-handed. Owensville were given a punishing 14-55 loss at the hands of Potosi. The state rankings had actually given Owensville a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Owensville off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Potosi a 1-0 record.
