Basketball Recap: Eli Schmitt Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Stockton

Lakeside won the last time they faced Stockton and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights walked away with a 71-60 win over the Tigers.

Lakeside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Schmitt, who went 9-for-12 on his way to 20 points. Schmitt's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Liam Christians was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards.

Lakeside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Stockton, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
