Basketball Recap: Blair's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It was a good run, but Blair unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 55-43 to the Bennington Badgers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-34 back in January.

Blair's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Wulf, who posted 17 points. Addie Sullivan was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bennington found their leader in sophomore Skylar Johnson, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 24 points along with five boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Harper Bohaboj, who had six points in addition to ten assists and seven rebounds.

Blair's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Bennington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

While Blair had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
