Cascade extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-16. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arlington Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 2nd.

Mia Walker put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Walker was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
Walker wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Keira Malloy, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. Marisa Molina also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
As for Arlington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 30th.
On Arlington's side, Peyton Aanstad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Kinsey Marchand and Jen Rivera did most of the damage at the plate: Marchand went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Rivera went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Marchand has posted since back in April of 2025.
Looking ahead, Cascade will be playing in front of their home fans against Glacier Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arlington, they will face off against Lake Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
