On Thursday, The Rapid City Christian Comets faced the Deuel Cardinals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rapid City Christian snuck past Deuel with a 13-8 victory. The victory was nothing new for Rapid City Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rapid City Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Simon Kieffer, who threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson Kieffer did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 143 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Rapid City Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. As for Deuel, their loss ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
Rapid City Christian will head out on the road to face off against Hot Springs at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Hot Springs will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Deuel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
