The Fightin' Planets were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting  back in April of 2017.
 Mars saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sophia Soltis, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  RBI.
Mars' loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Montour, their win  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-11-1.
As of now, neither Mars nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
