Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Andress Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 55-7 loss at the hands of Wylie on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Andress can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 861st, while Wylie is ranked 202nd).
Andress' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Wylie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Andress does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wylie will square off against Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. One thing working in Argyle's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
