Softball Recap: Brewer Wins Going Away Against Granbury

Brewer barely beat Granbury the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Brewer Bears' way against the Granbury Pirates on Tuesday as the Brewer Bears made off with an 18-8 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won nine in a row.

Kamren Pride was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Keira Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles.

Brewer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Brewer now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Granbury, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Looking ahead, Brewer will head out on the road to square off against Azle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brewer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Granbury, they will face off against Aledo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aledo also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 7.4 runs per game.
