With a playoff win on the line, Pinecrest Academy rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cherokee Christian Warriors as they made off with  a  66-41 win. The Paladins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  matchups by 25  points or more this season.
Pinecrest Academy got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Joe Frain out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 19  boards. Frain is  on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down 13 or more in the last three games he's  played.  Michael Lynch was another key player,  going 6 for 10  on his way to 15  points and seven  boards.
 Pinecrest Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive rebounds in nine consecutive  contests.
Pinecrest Academy has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 62.1 points over those games. As for Cherokee Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-15.
 Coincidentally, Pinecrest Academy and Cherokee Christian will both be playing Cornerstone Prep Academy the next time they take the court. Pinecrest Academy will head out to face Cornerstone Prep Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday, while Cherokee Christian will head out to face them  on Monday.
