The Norwalk Lancers will challenge the Paramount Pirates at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Norwalk can't be too worried about heading out to take on Paramount: they just beat Firebaugh at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Lancers blew past the Falcons 16-4 on Thursday.

Jazmin Jimenez
| 04/30/26 @ Firebaugh | 4 |
| 04/18/26 @ Hawthorne | 1 |
| 03/26/26 vs Bellflower | 1 |
| 02/24/26 @ El Rancho | 1 |
| 03/13/25 vs Sultana | 1 |
Jazmin Jimenez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaslene Pelayo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Paramount got themselves on the board against Dominguez on Thursday, but Dominguez never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Dons.
Laritza Esparza made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases.
In other pitching news, CLARISSA NORIEGA looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Paramount got a massive performance out of Sophia Ledezma, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Zariah MORENO was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Paramount was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .800. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in 14 consecutive games.
Paramount is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Norwalk, their record now sits at 14-9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Norwalk has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Paramount struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Norwalk might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Paramount in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
