After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pikes Peak Christian, the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 24-14. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Miami-Yoder has scored all year.
Miami-Yoder was led to victory by Jesus Cruz and Caleb Bernhart. Cruz scored eight points along with five steals, while Bernhart scored ten points along with two steals.
Miami-Yoder is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their loss dropped their record down to 89-197-1.
Miami-Yoder will head out on the road to square off against Hi-Plains at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Bex Seaman and Jel Wallerstedt. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
