Even though the Harrison Huskies scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, the St. Mary's Lancers still came out on top. St. Mary's took their contest against Harrison 68-61.
Leading St. Mary's to victory were Emily Mcdonald and Jada Mushat. Mcdonald scored 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Mushat scored 33 points along with four steals. The game was Mcdonald's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Kierra Kline was another key contributor, scoring five points.
St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Harrison, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
St. Mary's will be playing in front of their home fans against Nichols at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nichols will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while St. Mary's is ranked 49th). As for Harrison, they will square off against Walter Panas at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
