A Season-Best Effort from Chace Hurley Leads Pueblo South over Pueblo Centennial
Chace Hurley produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pueblo South to the win on Thursday. Hurley picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss). He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 70 yards.
The win (which was Pueblo South's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Hurley and Pueblo South will challenge Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Devon Baker and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
Discovery Canyon picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Devon Baker. Baker turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up a sack and making four total tackles. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.
Discovery Canyon pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Baker and Discovery Canyon are on the road again on Friday to play Lewis-Palmer at 7:00 p.m.

Caeden Herrera Delivers Electric Effort Vs Pueblo Centennial
The second Pueblo South player making an appearance here is Caeden Herrera, and for good reason. He threw for 159 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes.
Herrera must have Pueblo Centennial's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Herrera last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he threw for 76 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards.

Discovery Canyon Gets a Boost from Jones in 49-6 Victory
The second Discovery Canyon player making an appearance here is Hayden Jones, and for good reason. He threw for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.
For the year, Jones has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 79.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he had seven rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.
