The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hernando Christian Academy in their matchups with Academy at the Lakes: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Hernando Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Neaya Richardson scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Hernando Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Academy at the Lakes, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hernando Christian Academy and Lakeside Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Universal Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Universal Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
