Hammond Academy of Science & Tech extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 12-3 in the process. They came out on top against the La Lumiere Lakers by a score of 5-2. Noah Michniewicz was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Austin McKimmy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Anthony Concepcion was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
As for La Lumiere, their record now sits at 6-8. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
