It was a proper cat-fight when Haven challenged Hoisington on Tuesday. The Haven Wildcats were the clear victor by a 49-27 margin over the Hoisington Cardinals. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Hoisington had strong showings from Mason Martin, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points, and Brier Thompson, who posted four points.

The win was the fourth in a row for Haven, bringing their record for this year to 14-1-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Hoisington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Haven and Hoisington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Haven (ranked 29th) will meet Halstead (ranked 202nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hoisington will take on Nickerson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 162 places (123 vs. 285).
