Corrigan-Camden has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Shepherd Pirates at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Corrigan-Camden didn't have too much trouble with New Waverly at home as they won 88-74.
Corrigan-Camden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brodgrick Price, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Price is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Michael Kenney was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Shepherd had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 59.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by Goodrich at home to the tune of 104-17. Shepherd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 43 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Tristen Cullum, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Shepherd's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Mettlen, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds.
Corrigan-Camden's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Shepherd, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Corrigan-Camden have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Shepherd struggles in that department as they've been even better at 37.8 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
