Hesston came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Nickerson Panthers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-2 on Tuesday.
Andrew Huxman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double. That double was his first of the season.
