The Ashford Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Carroll, falling 79-44. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ashford in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Carroll's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lakeith Person, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Person also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Culver, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Ashford has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Carroll, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-6.
Ashford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carroll will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
