Baseball Recap: Northview's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Northview made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clay, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Northview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman McKarus, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Quinton Wilson was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Clay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will host Perkins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Wildcats have won six straight at home, while the Pirates won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Clay, they will welcome Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
