Model is 1-9 against Bath County since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Patriots will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

That's the most runs Bhula has posted since back in April of 2024.
Bath County came out on top against Lewis County on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lions 10-9.
Like Model, Bath County also got a great game from a two-way player: Mason Dillon. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bath County is 4-0-1 when Dillon allows one or fewer earned runs, but 9-12 otherwise. Dillon was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Memphis Beadle was excellent, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Colten Carpenter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bath County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County struck out eight times.
Bath County's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-12-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.86 runs across that stretch. As for Model, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
