The Norfolk Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Buena Vista as Norfolk made off with a 71-47 victory. With Norfolk ahead 38-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norfolk to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tasha Eisenhauer, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Skylar Indra, who scored 17 points.
Buena Vista's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabby Kilgore, who scored 13 points along with six steals, and Zaria Townsend who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Kilgore hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games.
Norfolk's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Buena Vista, their defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
Norfolk will square off against the Discoverers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buena Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Rockets at 5:30 p.m. Lincoln Northeast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bison in Nebraska (the Rockets are ranked 26th, while the Bison are ranked 240th).
