Smoky Mountain won the last time they faced North Henderson and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-2.
Elle Wahnethah made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). Wahnethah was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Callie Winchester was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
