The West Port Wolf Pack will take on the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Port took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lake Weir as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Wolf Pack not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0).
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant West Port was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-7, 25-11.
Meanwhile, Flagler Palm Coast posted their closest win since August 20th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Atlantic, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Flagler Palm Coast wouldn't go down easily and took Atlantic into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 15-7.
West Port's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: West Port has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Flagler Palm Coast struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
