The Lyman Eagles will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Mountain View Buffalos at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Lyman earned a 41-28 victory over Evanston. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lyman.
Lyman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Anderson, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of BriLee Bradshaw, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Mountain View entered their tilt with Pinedale with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Mountain View came out on top in a nail-biter against Pinedale on Friday and snuck past 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Mountain View has posted yet this season.
Lyman has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Lyman beat Mountain View 58-47 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Lyman repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
