The Glenwood Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bloomington Purple Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Glenwood will be strutting in after a win while Bloomington will be coming in after a loss.
Glenwood can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Lincoln at home to the tune of 42-14. The win was just what Glenwood needed coming off of a 63-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
Blake Lehnen and Colten Knoedler were among the main playmakers for Glenwood as the former picked up 172 receiving yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Simmons, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Bloomington were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by MacArthur at home and fell 54-10. Bloomington was down 47-3 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, Bloomington got a solid performance out of Mikey Kimmell, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Even if they lost, Bloomington's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Carter Jackson and his two sacks.
Glenwood's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Bloomington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
