They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Whitinsville Christian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Blackstone Valley RVT of the 64-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitinsville Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Deters, who scored 16 points. Cam Desmarais was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Blackstone Valley RVT's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Whitinsville Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Blackstone Valley RVT will be playing in front of their home fans against Millis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitinsville Christian, they will head out on the road to take on St. Paul at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in St. Paul's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
