Quinter is 9-1 against Decatur Community since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Quinter Bulldogs will welcome the Decatur Community Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Quinter has five straight wins, Decatur Community has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Quinter will bounce into Friday's game after beating Trego, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Quinter snuck past Trego with a 45-40 victory on Monday.

The dominant performance gave Bridges a new career-high in blocks. Colt Werth was another key player, putting up two points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Decatur Community lost to Norton on the road by a 62-47 margin last Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Bluejays are ranked 59th).
Quinter will have to keep a close watch on Tyler Ostmeyer and Brycen Ketterl, a pair of players who had a big impact on Decatur Community's prior game. Ostmeyer went 8-for-10 on his way to 21 points and six boards, while Ketterl went 6-for-9 to rack up 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 44.7% of Decatur Community's points, marking the third time in a row Ostmeyer has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davin Jensen, who put up no points in addition to eight assists and three blocks.
Quinter pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Decatur Community, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Quinter strolled past Decatur Community when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 54-36. Will Quinter repeat their success, or does Decatur Community have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
