Bald Eagle Area has enjoyed the comforts of home their last seven games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Southern Columbia Area Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bald Eagle Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Southern Columbia Area likes a good challenge.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bald Eagle Area had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Rams 49-0 at home. Considering Bald Eagle Area has won nine games by more than 21 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bald Eagle Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Dubbs, who rushed for 62 yards and four touchdowns. Carson Nagle was another key player, having thrown for 301 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Southern Columbia Area had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They strolled past Troy with points to spare, taking the game 14-0.
Garrett Garcia was his usual excellent self, rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns.
Bald Eagle Area's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points per game. As for Southern Columbia Area, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
