In what's become a running theme this season, the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 61-9 victory over Hawken on the road. With Western Reserve Academy ahead 43-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Western Reserve Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Islay Moore, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Brenneman, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hawken struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Western Reserve Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Hawken, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Western Reserve Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Laurel is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Hawken, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Geauga at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Geauga is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
