Softball Recap: Campo Verde Has No Trouble Against Pinnacle

Campo Verde barely beat Pinnacle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Campo Verde Coyotes blew past the Pinnacle Pioneers 17-11 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their two-run performance the match before.

Rylan Renowden was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Anna Zehring was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

The win got Campo Verde back to even at 1-1. As for Pinnacle, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Campo Verde will be taking part in a tournament against Desert Ridge at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pinnacle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
