The Lakes Lancers waltzed into their matchup Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Yelm with points to spare, taking the game 46-32. For Lakes, this counts as revenge for the 51-43 loss Yelm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2018.
Lakes found their leader in underclassman Ehmarii Mcchristian, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Mcchristian pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Melila Pulalasi, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Lakes has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Yelm, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Lakes is on the road again on Saturday and play against Fife at 4:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Yelm, they will be playing at home against Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Kitsap is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
