The Buckingham Charter Knights will challenge the Sacramento Adventist Capitals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Monday, Buckingham Charter came up short against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy and fell 3-1. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
While Buckingham Charter ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Buckingham Charter got top-tier performance from Addelyn Widmer, who had 13 kills, three blocks, and three aces. Widmer has been hot, having posted seven or more kills the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Taylor, who had nine kills and one block.
Meanwhile, Sacramento Adventist came up short against Faith Christian on Wednesday, falling 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-6, 25-13.
Sacramento Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Buckingham Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Everything went Buckingham Charter's way against Sacramento Adventist when the teams last played back in September, as Buckingham Charter made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Capitals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
