Basketball Game Preview: East Central HomeSchool Patriots vs. Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors

East Central HomeSchool has gone 9-1 against Tuscaloosa Home Educators recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The East Central HomeSchool Patriots will face off against the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors at 6:00 p.m. East Central HomeSchool is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Tuesday, East Central HomeSchool beat Restoration Academy 48-38. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Restoration Academy are ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Micah Coalson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 17 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Nelson, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Home Educators unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Evangel Christian 47-42. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lightning 15-9 in the first quarter.

East Central HomeSchool will have to contain Lydia Duncan as she made an impact in Tuscaloosa Home Educators' last game. She went 7 for 16 on her way to 18 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Arsenault, who had six points and four steals.

East Central HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

East Central HomeSchool took their win against Tuscaloosa Home Educators in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 59-34. Does East Central HomeSchool have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tuscaloosa Home Educators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
