The Largo Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Friendly Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Largo's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Friendly's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Largo pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 80-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gwynn Park. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Largo in their matchups with Gwynn Park: they've now lost four in a row.
Friendly suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They took a serious blow against Surrattsville, falling 60-24. It was the first time this season that Friendly let down their fans at home.
Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Friendly, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Largo came up short against Friendly when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 58-47. Can Largo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
