The biggest upset of the week belonged to Burroughs, who took down 455th ranked Barstow, 44-18.
The Burros moved up to 381 from 496 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Desert Sky. Burroughs climbed the ranks as a result of a 44-18 win over the Aztecs.
Barstow's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tracy Venable threw for 19 yards and James Noble had 12 yards receiving. On the ground Noble chipped in 176 yards. David Green helped Barstow's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Victor Valley's Eric Turner and Davondre Jackson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Turner has thrown for 803 yards this season, while Jackson, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 27 catches for 350 yards. Noble from Mike Esposito's team leads the league in rushing with 1303 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Aztecs take on the Jackrabbits. Barstow is in second place, while Victor Valley is in fourth place.
Silverado took down Granite Hills 46-3 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ryan Silveira in the win.
