Romulus is 10-0 against Garden City since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Romulus Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Garden City Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Romulus will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
In what's become a running theme this season, Romulus gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 80-16 win over Thurston at home. Romulus' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Romulus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karma Jones-Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. Jones-Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Samaira Searcy, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Garden City earned a 41-32 win over Redford Union on Tuesday. The win was just what Garden City needed coming off of a 55-9 defeat in their prior match.
Romulus is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Garden City, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Everything came up roses for Romulus against Garden City when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 78-10 victory. With Romulus ahead 41-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
