Wagoner extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating Webster, 43-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Bulldogs.
Oologah took down Miami 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
McLain Science & Tech's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Demetri Walker threw for 300 and three touchdowns and Nigel Carter had 125 yards receiving. On the ground Joshua Jacobs chipped in 112 yards. Jaelen Bledsoe helped McLain Science & Tech's passing attack out by catching four balls for 85 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Walker of the Titans is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2072. He has also thrown 26 touchdowns. On the ground, Vinita's Gage Bertram has rushed for 779 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Derek Reeves. The Cleveland star has 40 catches for 859 yards.
Going into this week's game against McLain Science & Tech, Cleveland's Chas Stallard needs 113 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 20 touchdowns this year, Stallard has thrown for 1887 yards with three interceptions.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on Jarvis Payne 's team. At the moment, Cleveland is in second, while the Titans are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Dale Anderson's team and McLain Science & Tech face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Tigers comes in having scored 298 this season, while the Titans have scored 276. Cleveland scored 35 points last week as it bested Catoosa.
McLain Science & Tech made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,137 from 5,380. The advance stemmed from a 36-26 victory over the Hornets last week.
