The Jefferson Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Plant, falling 57-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jefferson has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Jefferson struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Plant racked up 12 assists.
Plant can attribute much of their success to Azzariah Styles, who scored 21 points along with six steals. The contest was Styles' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Bowman, who scored seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Jefferson bumped their record down to 2-3 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.4 points per game. As for Plant, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Robinson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Plant, they will be playing at home against Leto at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leto will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while Plant is ranked 90th).
