North Judson-San Pierre has gone a perfect 8-0 against Culver Community recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bluejays will head out on the road to square off against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Culver Community will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: North Judson-San Pierre extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Bluejays blew past Triton 16-2. With that win, the Bluejays brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Molly Madsen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, North Judson-San Pierre let Catlin Hammack and Lexi Howard run wild. Hammack got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Howard went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Howard a new career-high. Allyson Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
North Judson-San Pierre was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Culver Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Triton on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cavaliers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Savannah Schlemmer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Schlemmer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Gracie Milam was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Abigayle Zehner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Culver Community now has a winning record of 10-9. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their record is now 7-8.
North Judson-San Pierre skirted past Culver Community 10-9 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
