Heppner added to the longest winning streak in 2A Blue Mountain this week by beating Monroe, 52-7. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Mustangs.
Heppner took down the Dragons 52-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kaden Clark threw for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
Greg Grant's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Brian Rill chipped in 102 yards. C.J. Kindle helped Heppner's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 55 yards.
He was 13-17 with 0 interceptions.
Jordan Bailey was the best wideout in the league this week as the Mustangs beat Monroe. Bailey tallied 4 receptions for 114 yards. Kindle helped Heppner's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 55 yards.
Heppner's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 1,678 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Bailey has 35 catches for 603 yards.
Heppner made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,819 from 5,280. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 52-7 victory over Bill Crowson's team last week.
