Like Brookville, North Clarion also got a great game from a two-way player: Ethan Walter. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Walter has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. In other batting news, Ryan Pappas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Walter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Brookville is taking a road trip to challenge Keystone at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for North Clarion, they will welcome Redbank Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
