The Los Gatos Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Los Altos Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Gatos is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Los Gatos barely beat Homestead the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Los Gatos was the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over Homestead on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ava Norquist made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addie Sorto, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Tessa Lilienstein also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, Los Altos didn't have quite enough to beat Milpitas on Thursday and fell 8-7. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Isabella Cirimele made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Even though they lost, Los Altos hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matches.
Los Altos' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Los Gatos, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Los Gatos hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Los Altos struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Los Gatos took their victory against Los Altos in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Los Gatos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
