Baseball Recap: Winlock Takes a Loss

Winlock had taken Onalaska down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Cardinals lost 14-3 to the Loggers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Loggers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Wednesday.

Hayden Fredericks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. He has become a key player for Winlock: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-10 otherwise.

Winlock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Onalaska, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Winlock wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 25-6 loss against Rainier on the 21st. As for Onalaska, they have also already played their next game, a 23-1 defeat against Adna on the 19th.
